Our cold boxes or bags composed of insulated shipping containers and ice packs are a type of packaging used to ship temperature sensitive products such as foods, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals. They are part of a comprehensive cold chain which controls and documents the temperature of a product through its entire distribution cycle.
The cold boxs or bags are used with a refrigerant or coolant such as our ice packs wihich are formulated for specific temperature ranges from -0.5 °F (-18) to 46.4 °F (8). A temperature data logger could be enclosed with our cold boxs to monitor the temperature inside the container for its entire shipment.Our ice packs and cold boards are plastic sacs or boards of refrigerant gel or liquid with is non-toxic, can absorb a considerable amount of heat, since its specific heat capacity is very high. They could be used in coolers to keep disease-bearing foods (meats, milk products, eggs, etc.) below 46.4 °F (8°C) to keep them safe for eating.
